You can tell a lot about how a company sees their customers by their advertising material, such as how HP thinks their users are retarded. Well, it turns out that Verizon also has a very odd view of their customers.

The other day, I received a poorly constructed advertising mailing for Verizon's "Double Freedom" plan, which gives you double the freedom by combining your DirecTV service with your Verizon phone service (and nothing says freedom like tying things together that were fine while they were independent, eh?). The idiocy of the offer is actually merely a side note. What caught my eye was the picture at right. This is how they perceive their customers? They think that the average Verizon customer is a dorky looking guy sitting on the floor of a white room watching his flat screen TV (also on the floor) while surrounded by bobblehead dolls that have been placed to appear that they are also watching the TV. Verizon thinks their users are complete and utter f***tard losers! That does explain a lot.
